Address Piz Gloria Schilthorn, 3825 Mürren, Switzerland

Built in 1969, the Piz Gloria is a magnificent panoramic revolving restaurant located at an altitude of 2,970 m at the top of the Schilthorn in Switzerland.

To reach this restaurant, it is better not to be afraid of heights! You have to take a cable car and not just any cable car since it is the “steepest” in the world.

Starting from a point 400 m high, the machine rises 2.103 m over 7 km for 30 minutes.

The Piz Gloria was expanded in the 1990s to serve 400 meals while keeping its original character and its revolving platform, now powered by solar energy.

The establishment owes its name to Ian Fleming’s novel The Secret Service of Her Majesty, whose eponymous film was shot within these walls. The production even participated financially and technically in the work.
