Address Nuevos Ministerios 28046 Madrid, Spain

The Nuevos Ministerios complex is a governmental complex housing the headquarters of several Spanish ministries.

This large complex was built as part of the Madrid city expansion project in 1932. The main objective of the project was to achieve an expansion to the north, around the Paseo de la Castellana. It was decided to build a complex to house ministries in order to clear the city center.

Construction began in 1933. It was designed by Secundino Zuazo Ugalde. The complex consists of a large central diaphanous space with plazas, fountains and pools around which are arranged the different ministries.

The building houses the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works, Labor and Social Economy, the MISSM, and the Ministry of Ecological Transition.
