It was in 1963 that the building known as the Pan Am Building was inaugurated. Initiated by Pan American World Airways, it has 59 floors, 23 elevators and offers a surface of 260 000 m2.
With its 246 meters, it initially arouses the anger of New Yorkers because it partially masks the famous Park Avenue.
