Address Le musée de la Machine à Écrire et à Calculer 3 Rue Bernard Harent, 86500 Montmorillon, France

Opened in 2008, le musée de la Machine à Écrire et à Calculer is a real trip back in time when these splendid machines were the standard of the service sector.

Nearly 200 typewriters invite the visitors to a dive from 1833 to 1980. Unusual, imposing, in remarkable condition, the machines in this unique museum come in part from the collection of Jeanne Sala, a former typing teacher.
