La fille aux remparts is an original work by Max Cabanes inaugurated in 2004. It pays tribute to this author, who won the Grand Prix at the Angoulême Festival in 1990.

There are more than twenty of them in the streets of Angoulême, notably those of Zep, Catel, Philippe Druillet, André Franquin or Frank Magerin.
