Opened in 1974, the Catford Centre is a suburban London shopping center located in the town of Catford.
Built in the middle of the city, the Catford Centre gathers many brands. The entrance is marked by a huge sculpture of a black cat that has become a symbol for the inhabitants.
The city center being in full rehabilitation, the question of moving the statue has been much discussed. The municipality chose to leave the effigy in place following a petition particularly followed by BBC London News.
