With more than 10,000 species of plants, the Botanical Garden of Bucharest was the first garden in the city. It was founded in 1860 near the Faculty of Medicine by Carol Davila.
In the garden there is a botanical museum with more than 5000 plant species, including 1000 exotic plants.
