The numbers in this library are staggering. 12 million printed books and more than 80,000 scientific journals are kept there. There are also manuscripts, papyri, maps and drawings, some of them almost as old as the world itself.
Among the many libraries integrated into the Bodleian Library, there are some very specific ones such as the Bodleian Japanese Library or the very old Duke Humphrey’s Library dating from 1488.
