Address Aretha Franklin Birthplace 406 Lucy Ave, Memphis, TN 38106, USA

Along with Graceland, Elvis Presley’s house, the one in which Aretha Franklin was born, is one of the most famous buildings in Memphis. However, the two are very different.

While Graceland stands out for its splendor, the house in which the Queen of Soul was born consists of a typical small cabin, as was common in this region of the United States at the beginning of the 20th century. Installed on a surface of barely 100 m2, it has become the place of recollection for all fans of the singer since her death on August 16, 2018. A memorial plaque has been installed there.
