From 1971 to 1997, the small airfield welcomed a few mountain aviation enthusiasts, but attendance was very low.
The filming of Tomorrow Never Dies changed the situation. Since then, the airfield, highly exposed, has even been renamed “Altiport 007”.
In 2017, the airfield was the arrival point of a stage of the Tour de France, won by the Frenchman Romain Bardet.
