Built in 1946, this modest residence saw the McCartney family move in in 1955, while Paul McCartney was studying in secondary school. It was here that the future Beatle, quickly joined by his friend John Lennon, composed the group’s first hits, on the family piano. Listed Grade II by Historic England, Paul McCartney’s childhood home was at the center of an episode of James Corden’s show Carpool Karaoke, during which the musician returns to the scene and tells many anecdotes.
