A Man and a Woman: the sequel to Claude Lelouch's film being shot at Beaumont-en-Auge

Movie
Fifty-two years later, the protagonists of the film A Man and a Woman meet again in this sequel entitled The Best Years of a Life.

A Man and a Woman is a film released in 1966 that tells the story of two inconsolable widowers: Anne (Anouk Aimée) and Jean-Louis (Jean-Louis Trintignant) love each other, then push each other away, to love each other again. This one allowed Claude Lelouch to obtain multiple awards such as the Palme d’or at the 1966 Cannes Film Festival, the Oscar for best foreign film and best original screenplay, but also the Golden Globes for best foreign film, best director and best actress for Anouk Aimée. A success that can be described as planetary.
A second film was released in 1986 entitled A Man and a Woman: 20 Years Later, in which the lovers find each other again after having lost track of each other, and realize how time has changed many things and has really separated those who love each other?

This second part was filmed in the Normandy Barrière Hotel in Deauville. The latter has a 58m2 suite entirely dedicated to the film taking place within these walls.
As for the third opus, it is currently being filmed in the streets of Beaumont-en-Auge, not far from the town where the hotel complex is located, and notably at the P’tit Beaumont boutique, a hotel restaurant that also sells household linen, jewellery, candles, clothes… Entitled The Best Years of a Life, it will be released in theatres in 2019.
