1. New York City, hated by the Simpsons
While he is still young and full of hair, Homer goes to New York to do some sightseeing. He gets all his stuff stolen in a matter of minutes and curses the town. Several years later, the father of the family was forced to return to the Big Apple to pick up his car parked under the World Trade Center by Barney on a very drunken night. Many other adventures take the family around New York, but this is the first in the series. 2. London
No less than 7 episodes take the Simpson family through the streets of the British capital. Some of the most recognizable places are Buckingham Palace, where Homer will be arrested for insulting the Queen, the London Eye, where Simpson parents watch their children overdose on sugar, the Old Bailey, where the family passes by in a taxi, and the unmissable Big Ben, which can be seen briefly during most of these adventures.
3. Hong Kong
The former British colony welcomes members of the Simpson family for two episodes. Bart visits Hong Kong as a courier and meets his beloved headmaster Skinner at the airport. We also see the whole family boarding a junk from Hong Kong to America after Selma picks up Ling, her adopted baby.
4. Egypt
In a special episode of The Bible Revisited, Egypt appears multiple times including the pyramids when Lisa and Milhouse, playing Miriam and Moses respectively, confront Skinner, Ramses II in the episode, to free their people.
5. Brazil, several times visited by the Simpsons
Brazil, and especially one of its illustrious inhabitants, Ronaldo, is a destination that the Simpsons are particularly fond of. As mere visitors, to solve a monkey problem or for Homer to become a football coach… Brazil shows all its charms in many episodes.
6. If Castle
In a special episode, Homer is locked up in Yew Castle Prison after Moe accuses him of treason. Calling himself the Count of Monte Fatso, the story is clearly an echo of Alexandre Dumas’ Count of Monte Cristo, in which the hero, Edmond Dantes, is imprisoned in this castle. Even today, the site is one of the most visited in the city of Marseille.
7. Australia, badly treated by the Simpsons
The Simpsons visit Australia, which Bart experiences many times: a telephone hoax in an Australian bar, the toilets that drain the other way, or a Ouaouaron, a species of amphibian, which Bart releases and which infests the country of the kangaroos? The family also left their mark on Australia.
8. Japan
During their stay in Japan, Homer and Bart land in prison after shoving Emperor Akihito during a sumo match. After bailing them out, the family is broke and must participate in a Japanese game show to win plane tickets to Springfield. Quite a program.
9. Vancouver
The Simpsons and the Skinners teamed up for an episode at a curling competition in Vancouver. Regularly cited as one of the top five cities in the world for its quality of life, it is not clear that the Canadian metropolis has maintained this score after the Simpson tornado.
10. Israel
The Simpsons and their favorite neighbors, the Flanders, visit Israel with other members of the Springfield church parish. Homer doesn’t behave at all like the ideal tourist, and leaves a horrible impression of his passage in Israel.
