The Daily News Building houses the Daily Planet headquarters, Clark Kent’s newspaper. Built in 1929, this huge 42-floor Art Deco building served as the strategic center for the Daily Newsnewspaper until 1994. The 10-floor base is so massive so as to allow enough space for the printing presses. Just push the swinging doors and you’ll marvel at the entrance lobby with the immense and superb rotating globe. When the building was opened to the public, it was one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city! The world map is updated regularly and the clocks on the back wall show the time in different cities around the world. On the left, a small exhibition traces the history of the monument. Two photos taken during the filming of Superman are prominently featured.
