Spider-Man: Far From Home, a trailer on the web [careful – spoiler alert]
Spider-Man: Far From Home, a spider goes abroad
Be careful of spoilers! The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer is just out, and already we can spot some details in it and especially shooting locations.
It begins as we see Aunt May giving a high five to her nephew Peter dressed up as…..Spider Man! An ironic fake communication campaign or Peter’s secret revealed? Whatever the case, the scene is an echo of the final scene on Homecoming.
Back in his bedroom, our young hero is packing his suitcase for Europe and the initials on his bag show that it belonged to his uncle, Ben Parker.
In the meantime, the local and likeable spider spins his web in New York and passes in front of the Avengers tower under reconstruction. A scene hinting at a promising future.
Venice – first stop
And the first leg of this trip is to Venice. Lovers’ capital, we see Ned (Jacob Batalon), « M.J. » (Zendaya) and Peter (Tom Holland) on a gondola heading for the De Matteis hotel. The name here is not insignificant because it’s a reference to J.M De Matteis, a comic book writer, including many Spider-Man issues.
It’s in this hotel that Nick Fury appears to give Spider Man a mission, to fight a brand new enemy. Lack of Avengers following the events in Avengers : Endgame or a mere coincidence ?
London – second stop
Tower Bridge is present in the trailer. We first see it in the background when Spider Man plunges into the air wearing a brand new outfit, a second time with the highschoolers on top of a double-decker bus, a third time when the famous bridge is hit by lightning and finally a last time when we see MJ, Ned and other passersby take off running.
French trailer add a new location, St. Pancras International where the students arrives in London.
You’ll just have to be patient till the movie theater release on July 3rd, 2019 to discover other locations so you can follow the European footsteps of Spider Man or travel to New York with the guide New York of 1000 cult movies, series, musics, comics and novels.
