New-York : the must-see places from The Amazing Spider-Man

New York and Spider-Man are inseparable. After Sam Raimi, it's Marc Webb's turn to wear the Weaver on the screen. Although this saga was much criticized, she likes to discover the flagship city of the superhero.

Peter Parker’s house

Even though in the trilogy by Sam Raimi Uncle Ben and Aunt May live in Queens, Marc Web chose to have them live in this little house in Brooklyn, near Prospect Park.

Oscorp Building

It’s while visiting the laboratories of this scientific company called Oscorp that Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) meets Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) but above all it’s here that he gets stung by a spider that transmits super powers to him.  The exterior of the building are computer generated images , the scenes inside the hall were filmed here.

The Stacey family apartment

The Stacey family lives in this very beautiful building just beside the Museum of Natural History.  Though Peter is in love with Gwen, it’s her father the New York police chief who is going after Spider-Man.  Not an easy situation!

Wiliamsburg's bridge

While Dr Rajit Ratha (Irrfan Khan), Osborn’s boss, is stuck in his car on this bridge, Dr Curt Connors aka the Lizard (Rhys Ifans) tries to kill him by dumping his car into the East River.  Spider-Man catches it just in time, like he does for many other vehicles.

Riverside Drive Viaduct

After having stopped a minor felon, Spider-Man is chased by the police.  To escape, he performs some acrobatics using the metal cables of the Riverside Drive viaduct.  The scene was filmed between 130thand 133rdstreets.
